子供の運動会と音楽発表会に使用。周りの保護者から、ビデオ業者の人と思われそうなサイズ感。動きはなめらか。

I bought this to use with a 500mm lens on a DSLR camera. I shoot wildlife, so I want a smooth head that offers lots of support. The stiffness of the head is just right, I think. When you balance the lens on top, it won't flop forward (as it will on a ball head). There is resistance when you pan, so you won't be able to quickly track a Shinkansen, but it is fast enough to track birdds in flight.The ONLY let down on this great head are two el-cheap screw. The screw to adjust or lock the pan movement is almost too small for the hole. It feels like it is going to fall out if I'm not very careful. (In fact, a camera tripod parts maker offers a replacement screw for this very part.) The other cheap screw is the one that is used to lock the catch mechanism which holds down the mounting plate to the head base. This one feels as if it will actually break after a year or so of usage. The screw not only has a locking funtion, but is also used as a lever to release the spring on the catch that secures the mounting plate. This screw, if it breaks or falls out would make the hole head completely useless. For both screws, I wrapped some plumbers tape around the threads to take up the gap in the screw holes and make them more secure so they (hopefully) won't fall out.Perhaps it's little details like this that manufacturers scimp on to keep prices down, but I feel that the overall effect is to lower consumer confidence in the maker.

マンフロットの701が壊れて（締め付け部品を無くす）。500の60mmのハーフボールも3年前に購入していまして、軽いカーボンの脚に取り付けて全体重量を軽くしたかったのです。流石に新しい雲台はネットリと良い感じです。

ワンタッチで使用で出来るところ。

動画用には専用の三脚雲台を持っているが、静止画用の三脚（K&F）でも、気軽に動画と望遠が使えるように購入。操作性も良いし、安定して使えている。さすがマンフロット！といえる商品です。

OM製M1カメラの野鳥撮影用として購入。期待通りの製品で満足していますが、１つ欠点がありました。３脚に固定する部品の長孔がバリのため、狭くなり、固定ボルトが入らないため、やすりでバリ取りしました。

重いレンズでも安定して使用できます。
