Q: Can you sleep on your side and hang your ankle over the edge?

Yes, Im about 5'4 and I use it to sleep on my side. It fits perfectly to were I am able to hold it between my knees and my ankles are over the edge.

Q: Is it more for ahort legs or long legs

I believe shorter people (5'8" or less) like myself can get more use out of it, but it is a firm support pillow. It is large but very soft and will compress. I use it with ottomans and firmer pillows for the height I want, and this pillow comfort. A plus is the pillow's case is washable.

Q: Why is 6 in more expensive than 7 or 8 in wedge?

Could be supply issues. They may have more of one and new inventory could be more expensive now.

Q: Why does the 6 inch one cost more? I am 5ft4in what size would you recommend?

I am same, use 8 inch as recommended by PT. I have neuropathy.
