Amazing wireless. Really versatile. Great video, so-so audio and no external mic support.
I have the previous version of this gimbal and this version with the remote. This model basically replaces the 2S - the 2S had a gimbal wired to the base - there was around a meter of cable. I used it a lot on the end of a long selfie stick for some really unique angles. This is one of those devices that was in the realm of SciFi 10 years ago. A remote pan, tilt and digital zoom camera that's controlled via WiFi from an app or remote. There's a lot to love here, but some aspects I'm not a fan of. When I looked at the Pocket 3 it looked like the best of everything in the 2S.Well it is and it isn't. Everything is in the gimbal head. SD slot, MIC, teeny-tiny text only display, function buttons. Not really convenient because the controls and display are microscopic when compared to adult hands. But the app solves those problems, and you get a crystal clear picture. You can setup the shot, aim the camera, etc. in the app then use the buttons on the head to start and stop the shot - that works well. Attach your phone to the holder and you're good to go.The gimbal section has a clever magnetic base and they include an adapter that allows a strap to be used or a 1/4-20 tripod mount. They went out of their way to make it as GoPro style mount *incompatible* as possible. You really don't need any other mounts unless you want to rig your own stuff up. They include a protective cover for the gimbal. It feels like an afterthought. When attached it protects everything from damage - but the gimbal flops around inside the cover. I added some stick-on foam to fix this.Audio: 100% meh. Yes, that's a technical term meaning not at all impressive and often really, really bad. At best you can expect is (using my internal Immortan Joe voice) "MEDIOCRE." Very low levels in most situations, nothing but wind noise outside. There's zero support for an external mic - their adapter for the Pocket 2 series does not work - I tried it. If you want to use this where audio is important, you'll have to use an external recorder then sync the audio up in post. The app function is impressive - I use the app for control and stick this on a stage out of the way, on a riser, etc. - for clever shots it can be put ON an instrument or mic. Again - you'll need to record audio separately. Pan, tilt, digital zoom (actually looks decent.) If you attach a battery, it can go for hours - or until the MicroSD card is full. But (yes, another but) the app control is laggy. Pan, tilt, zoom - all continue for a little after you stop. So you need to anticipate and end your movement a little early. Pairing: First time out it took 7 (I counted) attempts until it finally connected. After that it was fine.Support. Man is this frustrating. No manual is included. They just give you "quick start" guides. You can get the manual inside the app and view it in the app. But no search feature, etc. You really need to figure most stuff for yourself, but it's not difficult. There are basic videos on YT.For versatility and size, it's crazy great. A pan, tilt and zoom camera that weighs a few ounces and that can fit in the palm of your hand? I'm going to have a blast with this at the next anime con I attend.Audio: 1Video quality: 5Build quality: 5Features: 5. Time lapse, hyperlapse - both with pan and tilt if desired. Pano photo shoot. Several video resolutions and framerates.

Does it come with magnetic base?
I like the product, but I have to return it. I just bought the camera with the iPhone holder and find out that the camera don’t have a magnetic base as advertised. I’m tempted to buy the complete set with remote holder but I’m afraid it might not be magnetic base. Are there 2 models? One with magnetic base, and one without? I wish to have an answer. Thanks.

Well Made, Works Very Well, Great Image Quality, Good Battery Life, Easy to Use
The media could not be loaded. I really like this camera! First off, it comes nicely packaged and well protected. The camera itself feels well made and doesn't feel cheap. It comes with a nice case that the camera can fit into to help keep it in good condition and well protect the gimbal system. With it in this case, it is easy to fit into a pocket and have no fear of anything breaking. The quality of the video and images is really quite good for such a small pocket camera. What's even more impressive is the image stabilization this has because of the 3-axis gimbal system. It works and it works well for such a small device. The camera is very easy to operate and use. On the camera itself there are very little buttons and a touch screen. The screen is pretty responsive but because of the size of the screen it can be a little more difficult to use - especially if you have bigger fingers. The camera does have built in WiFi and can easily connect to the APP. The APP is very easy to use and navigate and can allow you to adjust settings if you don't want to use the touch screen. You can also download your videos & photos this way, too.The battery life is quite good but of course will vary based on how much you use it. I would also make sure you have WiFi turned off if you are not connecting it to your phone as that too will drain the battery faster. It can be charged via a power bank and can also be used while charging. All things considered, this is a very nice camera and I absolutely will be using it for future videos. The overall image quality is great and the image stabilization is quite good. You get a lot for the money with this camera!

pretty good
This camera’s lightweight and portable design makes it easy to carry and shoot on the go, weighing only 86 grams. The magnetic mounting feature is perfect for hands-free shooting and capturing creative angles, especially when paired with the FeiyuCam app. Its AI tracking ensures you stay in the frame even when moving, making it ideal for dynamic content. The 4K resolution at 60fps captures sharp, high-quality footage, and the three-axis gimbal stabilization keeps shots smooth and steady. Whether you're vlogging or filming professional-quality videos, it performs well without needing bulky gear. It rivals DJI's Osmo.
