Works great! Happy with purchase
Perfect for my Terra SodaStream. Used it to connect to a 5 lb CO2 tank. I love to drink plain carbonated water and I I know I will recoup the costs of the Terra SodaStream (purchased at a discounted price from Costco online a few months back), this connector, the tank with the CO2 filled (purchased from a local beer & wine store) future refills of the tank. I also know this hack/hook-up will save me a lot of money since I don't have to exchange the small CO2 cylinders that came with SodaStream - they are almost $19 with tax to exchange, and they don't fill the number of liters that they advertise, actually much less so you willl need to exchange more often, so not cost effective. 1 SodaStream cylinder exchange ($19) vs a refill of the 5 lb tank (costs $30 a refill) which is equivalent to 5 SodaStream cylinders (comes out to $95), it's a no-brainer.

It works well

Fits soda stream. Turn off Co2 tank between uses. Good hose.
Fits perfectly. Easy to use. Seems to be built good. Doesn't leak. Be sure to turn off your Co2 tank in between uses. The soda stream tubing is not that great. It will fail probably before this hose does.

Perfect for soda stream
Perfect part for anyone using a soda stream. I decided to use a 5# bottle for mine because I was tired of the small bottles going empty in under a month. After reading reviews, I didn't take any risks with leaving the bottle open while not in use, which isn't an issue for me. Highly recommended, no leaks, comes with an extra crush washer, simple to set up.

Worked fine for a short period of time
Worked well for a few months, and then the valve became stuck open and drained the entire CO2 tank the SodaStream was connected to.

Fine to use with SodaStream; just keep the tank closed
I bought this to use with our SodaStream and a 5-lb tank. I did the math and decided that the savings from buying a 10-lb vs 5-lb tank is not worth having an uglier tank, and got a very pretty 5-lb tank that looks nice on the kitchen counter.Back to this adaptor. Based on the unit freezing issues others have shared, we leave the tank closed and open it only to carbonize. This means we: 1) Attach the water bottle to SodaStream, 2) open the tank (turn the knob to the left), 3) pump twice lightly, 4) close the tank (turn the knob to the right), and 5) pump 2-3 times more until the remaining CO2 is released into the water.Zero issue, and very happy with the setup.

Helpful Device but Difficult to Tighten
I was happy to find a way to convert my soda stream to work with a larger tank! While it does fit, it was pretty difficult to get a really tight fit. I used a wrench but still had some trouble. My first tank of Co2 pretty much went to waste because the gas slowly leaked throughout the week. As a result, I now turn the knob to turn “off” the tank after each use. All in all - I’m happy with this product and would buy again.

It doesn’t leak.
I know a lot of people mention leaks, but the key with brass fittings is to go finger-tight and then an additional quarter turn with a wrench. I didn’t even use Teflon tape because it comes with rubber gaskets. For added security, I turn the tank off when I’m done using it, and I’ve left the tank off for several days. When I press the button on my SodaStream after that time, air still comes out, which tells me the line is holding CO2. In my opinion, it doesn’t leak, but I’ve also installed nitrogen and helium systems at a job for several years. It’s also important not to over-tighten the fittings, as this can sandwich the gasket and cause leaks. If you prefer to leave the tank on, you can make homemade leak detection liquid by mixing one part dish soap with two cups of water. Put it in a spray bottle, spray it on the connection, and if it bubbles, you’ll know there’s a leak.
