The first time I turned it on, it scared me. It's a bit loud, but I love how fast it is. Since I often hurt myself peeling potatoes manually, this is a significant upgrade. The longer potatoes are a little hard to get into the machine, but I've managed to cut my potato prepping time in half with this.Time saver:It's super fast. It took me 30 minutes to peel five potatoes by hand, but with this, it takes under 5 minutes.

I only have one arm that works and it was a task trying to.peel some things. Chasing some things around the counter. Not the safest idea. This gadget has been a game changer for for me. Love this thing. I can peel my apples potatoes. The more I can do on my own the better I feel mentally. I have even caught my Husband using it. He did get it for me 😁

I wish I had known about this product much earlier in life. It's a major game changer. No more cramped up fingers, and hands from peeling veggies. This item cuts the peel time down, significantly. You still have to peel the ends, but that's much better than having to spend half an hour peeling the entire thing.

bought this last year because our apple tree peoduced more apples than the previous 8 years combined and we needed to figure out a quicker way to process all of the apples into something good to eat. This peeled the apples like a dream and did each apple in about 8 seconds flat. We were able to make 15 quarts of applesauce and about 30 pints of apple butter plus give a bunch of apples away to neighbors. We've since used it for potatoes and now my kids no longer graon about having to peel 5# of potatoes for my Thanksgiving (and other holidays) mashed potatoes. I highly recommend this inexpensive tool. I only gave it a 4 because if your potatoes have any significant amount of divots in them the peeler doesn't catch them. Still better than doing it all by hand though!

Worked well with apples, cucumbers and kiwis.I made lunch for a crowd and this gadget was really essential to making my life easier. Peeled 8 apples, 6 cucumbers and 2 kiwis in a flash! I highly recommend it.

Taking the product out of the box it felt sturdy. I was impressed with the weighted bottom which immediately told me it would not jump around on the counter. I wanted to make a cucumber salad as my first test using the peeler. This was my first disappointment. Seeing the pictures for the product, it showed carrots and cucumbers and squash. Along with potatoes, apples, pears, etc. It doesn't tell you the items must be short. Cucumbers, carrots, squash do NOT fit on the peeler. You have to cut them in half first. No where on the product box or in the instructions does it say this. I figured it out myself when my cucumber was too tall. The peeler needs to be about 3-4" taller. I will say once I cut the cucumbers in half and then used the peeler I was pleased with the results but the initial out of the box attempt soured me. Because the cucumbers had to first be cut in half when the peeler started it shredded instead of peeling the top portion of the first half. I believe using the peeler a couple more times will have me getting a good idea on what and how to use it. It wasn't as simple as presented. I will update after I use it a couple more times.I have used it on potatoes since my first review. It does well with potatoes BUT it does not do anything tall. I attempted to see if it would peel squash and it like the cucumber were too big. In that I'm disappointed. I'm not attempting to find something that does larger vegetables.
